How to Participate and Submit Results

Participating to the project is very simple. Just download the METEOR software and use it according to the instrctions (!), during your favorite meteor shower. Then, if you have good results, send the registry file (.log) to me as an e-mail attachment. In your e-mail, note any pertinent remarks about your observations. Don't worry, all the necessary informations for the analysis are in the registry file anyway. This is why it is important to correctly enter the parameters of observation site (including altitude) and also to synchronize your computer clock before using the software.

Please try to send your data promptly after a given meteor shower. You can also send me a message to signal your interest to participate in the project. This is not necessary, but it would give me an idea of the amateur astronomer's response (It's always nice to know we are not alone !).

After the reception of the registry files, you will get an acknowledgment of the reception of your file and a pseudonym. This pseudonym wil be used to identify your data when presented on this site. Data should presented on this site about one week after a given meteor shower.

On demand, anybody can receive the data to pursue their own analysis.
