Description |
NGC5824 is a globular
cluster located in Lupus, the Wolf, near the Centaurus
border. Of strongly condensed type, its description reads: fairly
bright (mag 9), small (6.2 arcsecs) and with a stellar nucleus.
Individual stars are mag 15.5 and fainter, a challenge to resolve for a
12" telescope under good conditions. It is an impressive 110 000
light years distant.
