Las condiciones de visibilidad son actualmente muy deficientes pues por su proximidad al sol, al comienzo del crepúsculo astronómico solo alcanza 34º de altura sobre el horizonte con lo cual dado que supera la 17 mg. hay muy poco tiempo para localizarlo antes de que se pierda en la luz del día.

Este cometa es el segundo objeto conocido después del paso en 2017 del asteroide Oumuamua que visita el sistema solar proveniente del espacio interestelar. Su órbita es hiperbólica y por tanto no está atado al sol por gravedad, una vez que pase nunca volverá a visitarnos . En la secuencia de imágenes se aprecia su aspecto cometario y su movimiento entre las estrellas.

CCD photographic sequence of 2I/Borisov taken on october 8th 2019. This comet is the second known alien objet after asteroid Oumuamua in 2017 that visits us coming from the interstellar void. Once it has gone its hiperbolic orbit will never let it come back. In the image sequence we can observe its cometary shape and the movement across the stars.
