Como si de un estrecho en la Tierra se tratara, éste es el paso lunar entre el Mar de las Lluvias y el Mar de la Serenidad. Arriba los montes Caucasos y abajo el comienzo de los Apeninos.

As if it were a strait on Earth, this is the link between Mare Imbrium and Mare Serenitatis. At right is Caucasus mountains and at left lies the Apenninus system.

Este pequeño mosaico muestra la zona entre los cráteres Mosting (26 km) y Lalande (24 km), este último en una zona de elevado albedo debido a los materiales ejectados en su formación hace unos 2.800 millones de años. Ambos se encuentran en la zona central de la Luna.

Un bonito mosaico de gran resolución que nos lleva paralelos al terminador por una zona entre la grieta Aridaeus a la dcha., los cráteres Agrippa y Godín y las ruinas del crater Lade a la izda.

Una curiosa formación montañosa rectilínea al norte de Mare Imbrium, tiene 90 km de largo por 20 de ancho y sus picos alcanzan 1.800 m. Podemos tambíen ver los montes Teneriffe al sur de Platón y el imponente monte Pico.

Montes Recti is a mountain range of irregular ridges in the northern part of Mare Imbrium. It is 90 km in length and 20 km wide. The pics rise up to 1.8 km.

Este mosaico con luz prácticamente rasante muestra la zona entre los cráteres Menelaus y Manilius. Menelaus es un crater joven a escala lunar situado en la orilla sur del Mar de la Serenidad y Manilius está situado a orilla noreste del Mar del Vapor.

This high sun angle mosaic shows the area between craters Menelaus and Manilius. Menelaus is a young impact crater located on the southern shore of Mare Serenitatis and Manilius is on the northeast edge of Mare Vaporum.
