Theta Orionis fotografiada el pasado 3 de febrero 2010 desde Ayllón (Segovia).

El equipo usado fué un C11 a f/38 en sub-exp de 5 seg. con una cámara ST8 (3x3 binned).

La parte central de la conocida nebulosa de Orión donde se encuentra la estrella séxtuple Theta Orionis.

Es una región H II de nuestra galaxia situada a unos 1.300 A.L. , una nebulosa de emisión formada mayoritariamente por hidrógeno, helio, carbon y oxígeno que fluorece por la radiacción U.V. emitida por las jóvenes estrellas ( tienen menos de 100.000 años) que forman el Trapezio.



The image shows the central part of the well known Orion nebula, where the sextuple system Theta Orionis is located.

It is a H II region of our galaxy placed at some 1.300 L.Y. , an emision nebula formed mainly by hidrogen, helium, carbon and oxigen that is fluorescing by the U.V. radiation from the young stars ( 100.000 Y.O.) that form the Trapezium.
