Association Calédonienne d'Astronomie
Historical background and goals
Everything started in 1993, when five astro-fans equiped with
several observation hardware met. From this meeting, an
astronomical society, " l’Association Calédonienne
d’Astronomie ", is born. Its aims are the discovery and
practice of Astronomy. Three kind of actions are scheduled:
- Organisation of night observation meetings
- Astronomical initiation of new members
- Discovery and sensibilisation actions towards the general
public and schools (especially for mediatic events :
Shooting stars nights, planet nights, solar or lunar
eclipses, ...).
