It is a vast cloud of dust and gas located in the constallation of Monoceros. The Rosette is a prominent star formation region, glowing due to ultraviolet light from the young, hot, blue stars whose winds also cleared the central hole. It spans over more than 6 times the full Moon diameter. The central cluster can be seen with the unaided eye, although the whole nebula its difficult due to its large area. The foto was taken using narrow band Ha (7nm Baader), OIII and SII filters on different days.
