A NGC 3115 está situada na ténue constelação de Sextante, tornando-a difícil de encontrar por existirem muito poucas estrelas brilhantes nas vizinhanças, mas no entanto é fácilmente vista mesmo com modesta abertura. Conhecida por galáxia "Fuso" ("Spindle").

NGC 3115 is located at the faint Sextant constellation, being somewhat dificult to find due the lack of nearby bright stars, but nevertheless is quite visible even with modest apertures. Is also known as "Spindle Galaxy".
