August 2003 Observing Run
All images were recorded using ST10 MXE CCD camera, SBIG CFW-8 Filter wheel, autoguiding enabled. T600mm telescope, focal length = 2245 mm, Wynne field corrector, binning 1x1, scale is 0.63arcsec per 6.8µm pixel, digital robofocus has been used. PRiSM software was used for acquiring images and processing,. Click over images to get the full resolution image (beware : large file !).
Have also a look to the TNO (trans-neptunain asteroids page )
Most of the exposures are made of basic 240sec exposures....
M27
Exposure R=480s V=720s B=960s
The same image below has been re-worked : DDP + unsharp masking
Bubble nebula, 2.8" arcsec seeing, B images were recorded thru cloudy sky
B Filter 6 x 240s Exposures
R Filter 3 x 240s Exposures
V Filter 4 x 240s Exposures
M15 - 180s exposure, 3.5" seeing
NGC6888 Halpha filter (Astronomik) - 1440s exposure time, 3" seeing
N660 720s exposure time
Seeing : ~2.8"
Full N660 image, a close look to the background shows very tiny and deep galaxies....
M74 Exposure=720s
Seeing : ~3.5"
N 6946 HAlpha Filter 1860sec
Seeing : ~2.9"
N 6826 Halpha filter 540s
Seeing : ~3.5"
N 6826 Halpha filter 540s (negative view)
Seeing : ~3.5"
Ngc 507 480s, have a look to the faint galaxies
Ngc 7814 480s (Negative) Watch to the globular cluster closeby to the galaxy,
yes they belong to the galaxy !
Seeing : ~3.0"
Stephan's Quintette 960sec
Seeing : ~3"
This picture shows (here) how the PRiSM software
was used (lots of telescope control panels !) :
- CCD camera acquisition control panel
- Autoguiding control
- Dome control
- Digital Focuser
- Telescope drives and encoders
