2002 IR-CCD Workshop, Waimea, Hawaii

These are the pictures, I've made in Hawaii during the social activities of the 2002 IR-CCD Workshop in June2002. All images were recorded with a CANON EOS50E and the following lenses : 200mm F2.8, 100mm F2.8, 50mm F1.8 and 20-35 F3.5. I've used FUJI Provia 400F and 100F slide film. All the slides were digitized with a Nikon CoolScan IV ED .

Also, I recommend to have a look to nice underwater images from Peter Sinclaire and also general images from the CCD-IR workshop

Please be kind : if you want to use those images, please contact me before. I've got nice TIFF files...

Don't hesitate to tune your screen contrast and luminosity to get the best of the images. To get a high resolution image (approx 5 megapixels), click on it !

Lava flows

We were really lucky to be able to watch lava flows. This is an unique place to realize that the inner part of the Earth is alive ! The lava flows very slowly, however the heat produced by theses flows is really incredible, even if you stay at 3 meters from it. I recommend to watch it overnight, because it glows wonderfully !

The next images shows old lava flows that are completely solidified. Old.. This is not so old, because it occurred during the end of the 20th century.
