My observing place
My observing place is not the best that one could imagine... This is located in a suburb place, 15 km north of Munich, espicillay a wet place (It rains very often) and cold (mean temperature is 7.5 Degrees). The sky is overscast most of the time...
On top of that, light pollution is making my life harder, as you can see in the following pictures..

South-West
direction, a street lamp.. This is the second most disturbing street lamp.

South
direction, again a street lamp.. This
is the FIRST most disturbing street lamp.

NorthWest
direction, a street lamp hidden by a tree, not so bad direction anyway..
All the pictures are recorded with a digital camera Olympus C-2500L, 8 sec exposure time.
When I want to record nices images, I am obliged to switch-off forcefully the two most distrubing street light...
This is an overall view of the telescope in operation in my garden.

Telescope pointing westward.

Only two wires are going to the computer : the RS232 wire to point the telescope, the RJ45 ethernet cable for the CCD camera. The big black paper roll besides the telescope is a baffle against light from the street lights : very efficient. Here, half of the east sky is hidden by houses.
