des Îles de Saint-Timothée et la R.A.S.C. vous invite au 31e C.A.F.T.A. 2011 , les 29-30-31 juillet 2011 au Parc des Îles de St-Timothée dans le sud-ouest
du Québec.
Il y aura des prix dans les catégories suivantes
: Mécanique, Optique, Originalité, Recherche, Photographie, Débutant,
Logiciel et Technologie et Finesse du travail. Il y aura également la remise du Prix Fred-Clarke.

There will be awards in the following categories: Mechanical, Optical, Originality, Research, Photography, Beginner, Software and Technology
and Craftmanship. There will also the Fred-Clarke award.

FRAIS D'ENTRÉE:
IMPORTANT: Les participants pourront camper
sur le terrain du Parc mais SEULEMENT s'ils ont
des instruments astronomiques. Il est également possible d'y installer des tentes-roulottes/campeurs. Il
y a plusieurs casse-croûte et restaurants dans la région ainsi que celui du Parc. Les différents
clubs, associations et marchands qui voudraient un espace pour leurs kiosques devront en faire une demande à
l'avance.
Il n'y aura pas de frais d'entrée pour le parc des Îles pour la fin de semaine
si vous mentionnez à l'entre que vous venez pour l'astronomie mais il y aura des frais de $5 par voiture pour entrer sur le site du CAFTA et ensuite $5 par nuit pour 1 site de campement (exemple, pour toute la fin
de semaine, ça ferait un total de $15). Un carton vous sera remis à mettre sur votre rétroviseur,
à conserver comme preuve de paiement réglé et vous permettant de circuler à votre gré.

ENTRANCE FEES:
IMPORTANT: The participants will have the
opportunity to camp on the grounds of the Park BUT ONLY
if you have astronomical instruments. There is also possibility to have trailer/campers. There are many snack bars
and restaurants in the area for your convenience as well as the one for the Park. All the numerous clubs, associations
and merchants who would like to have a spot for their kiosks must make a request in advance.
There will be no entrance fees for the Park if you mention at the gate that you are here
for astronomy but note that there will fees for entering the CAFTA site of $5 (CDN)
per vehicle and then an extra $5 (CDN) per night
for 1 campsite (example, if you are there for the entire weekend this makes a
total of $15 (CDN)). A card will be given to you to attach to your rearview mirror which should be retained as
proof of payment thus allowing you to circulate freely.

* Il y a un parc pour les enfants
* Il n'y a pas de douches dans le parc sauf celle pour les nageurs et c'est de l'eau froide
* Il y a plusieurs salles de bain avec éviers, salles pour se changer
* Si vous avez des besoins spéciaux comme de l'électricité, il faut en faire la demande à
l'avance
* Attention à votre musique forte ou bruits excessifs, ce n'est pas tout le monde qui aiment observer au
son de Metallica...La musique New Age est acceptée plus facilement.

* Avoid too many comings and goings once setup at your location
* Try to avoid taking up too much space to leave room for everyone
* To camp in the park, you have to have observing equipment with you
* Make sure you have red flashlights
* Leave your space clean and manage your cigarette butts
* If coming without equipment, you have to leave
your car in the parking lot and the shuttle bus takes you to beach (during regular park opening hours)
* The park is located near Valleyfield,Quebec
* Bring your bathing suits,there is a beautiful sandy beach
* There is a playpark for the kids
* There are no showers in the park except for one outside for the sunbathers which has cold running water
* There are a number of bathrooms and changing rooms with sinks
* If you need anything like electricity, please say so in advance
* Be careful of your loud music or loud noises, not everyone likes to stargaze to the sound of Metallica...New
Age music is more readily accepted.
* We are not responsible for lost or stolen articles
* Don't forget to keep a close eye on your children
*** Dogs are allowed but only if they are on a leash
*** No glass bottles allowed in the park....bring
