ELCAT: [OIII, 496] = 2 x [Hbeta, 486nm]

à 74x & OIII, grande NP extrêmement faible, circulaire aux bords indélimitables; invisible sans filtre, homogène malgré un renforcement dans la partie E; environ 5.3’ de ø (318”); contient 2 étoiles de m=11 et de nombreuses autres de m=13 à 14; renforcement/nodosité d’environ 1.5’ de ø vers le bord SSE (PA160°); UHC=Hß=0, OIII=2. [H=55°]
at 74x and OIII, very extended PN, extremely faint, round with ill defined edges; invisible without filter, quite homogeneous despite a very slightly brighter zone in the E area; estimated diameter of about 5.3’ (on drawing, ie 318”); it contains 2 stars of mag11 and numerous others of mag13-14; the brighter zone is about 1.5’ in diameter towards the ESE border (PA120°); UHC and Hbeta are not giving better contrast but the OIII has a good contrast gain.
Note: I have not found it in Gottlieb’s or Patchik’s listings. Has anyone else seen it? On the POSS, it looks completely different like a crescent nebula, a sort of Medusa (Abell 21) bis.
