RUMKER; Christian C.L.; 1788-1862; GER

After having worked as a marine officer, he became astronomer at Paramatta Observatory in Australia with BRISBANE and DUNLOP from 1821 to 1830, and then at Hamburg in Germany; he found 135 "nebulae" ("Ring-Micrometer Observations of 135 Nebulae", Astronomisches Nachrichten) dont beaucoup sont douteuses (certaines inclues dans le NGC).
