Observing started there in 1987 (just after Halley's return) with the purchase of a 115mm reflector (F/7,8) that was diligently used until 1991. During this period, a new mount (more stable) was installed (Vixen New Polaris) on a wood pier plugged in the ground.

A "Schmidt-Cassegrain" Meade of 203mm (8") at F/10 was lent by my friend Jean DALLA TORRE who is a regular visitor of the Queyras during the summer. This scope was used intensively between 1992 and 1994.

Last, but not least, in 1994, a Coulter Dobsonian (Odyssey2) of 445mm (17.5") at F/4,5 arrived at the observatory and is used since then for visual inspection of deep sky targets.
