D'ARREST; Heinrich L.; 1822-1875; GER

Well known because of his discovery of Neptune along with GALLE thanks to LE VERRIER's calculations, D'Arrest improved 2000 nebulae position measurements ("Siderum Nebulosorum Observationes Havnienses", 1876) with the 11-inch refractor at Copenhagen Observatory (which he directed from 1858) and he discovered 500 new nebulae (list published in 1867).
