NGC1097, Fornax galaxy

Click for hires

In the Southern Sky a large number of great galaxies are present. Here is an example, with the Fornax Galaxy, NGC 1097, a barred spiral galaxy. Unfortunately only a single hour of exposure has been collected, so the noise in the result was evident. A hard work of noise reduction has been done, but the result cannot be perfect.

Note about processing: this image has been processed by Edoardo Radice with PixInsight and then refined by Lorenzo Comolli with Photoshop. Thanks for the collaboration!
