I first added 1000 to the noducapFlat.fit file. I then subtracted the ducapFlat.fit file from the noducapFlat.fit file, and then stretched the result linearly to show the difference. The ducapFlat.fit file had ~52 ADU more signal than the noducapFlat.fit file. It also had an additional attribute which shows itself as a roughly circular depression centered slightly below the center of the frame. The dust donuts left dark shadows around the edges. If you canīt see them, look just left of the bottom center of the image. The donut is light with a dark center adn dark edges.
The average value in the center circle (bounded by the depression) is ~3 ADU higher than the average values in the upper left (worst case location). The leftmost two columns, and the bottom row were discounted for the measurements. |
