  • Optical equipment

    • Celestron Deluxe Tele-extender Weight: 152g

    • Bought 75€ from La Maison de l'Astronomie in 2009.
It allows to plug the camera on the eyepiece, to shoot planets. In fact it is not good, the image is not nice on the camera, whereas it is good with naked eye. It's better to use a planetary camera design for this usage. However imaging planets is not my priority. I resold it for 40€ on eBay in 2010.

    • Old newton telescope Paralux F=900 D=113mm

    • I don't use this telescope anymore which I got in 1999. The mount EQ1 was not motorized. I built filters to watch the sun, for the main tube and the finder scope (see picture). It is a special sheet that I bought for 20€ on the internet, and I cut it and fix it on a cardboard. I gave the telescope for free to Emmaüs association in 2011.

    • Off-axis guider Celestron Weight: 174g

    • Bought 145€ to L'Astronome in 2009.
Allows to do manual guiding or with a guiding camera. In manual mode, I could do it for M57 which is located in the Milky Way, so it is possibme to find a guiding star. Else, it is very difficult. Now, I tried with the LodeStar camera, but I found out the focusing issue. You cannot have a sharp image on both reflex camera and guiding camera. I need to buy either an extension ring to put the reflex camera away, or an extension tube for the camera. Next step: I tried with a smaller extension tube, I couldn't focus the LodeStar. In fact the focal plan is just outside the guiding axis. So I will try to make an extension tube... New problem: impossible to screw the Atik CCD on the imaging axis, because the guiding axis touches it! Not good all that.
I resold it for 40€ on eBay in 2010.
I'll buy a better one as soon as possible...

    • Camera accessories

      • Compact camera holder Weight: 309g

      • Bought 40€ on Amazon in 2008

I had bought that at the beginning, but it is not good. Reflex camera is better! I resold it for 30,50€ on eBay in 2010

    • Cameras

      • Webcam Pentaflex TEM1300 Weight: 58g

Bought 99,50€ to La Maison de l'Astronomie in 2009
        Sensor chip CMOS 1/2" 1.3M pixels, 1280x1024, pixels of 5.2 microns, USB2.

Despite a high number of pixels, results are disappointing on Jupiter (see HERE).
I'd rather buy a CCD camera.
Resold for 40€ by the site WebAstro in 2010.
