Eudoxus est un cratère de 67 Km et profond de 3400 m. Il est situé à l'est du bout nordique de la chaîne des Monts Caucase et au sud du cratère Aristoteles dans les régions nordiques de la Lune, au sein d’une région très montagneuse. Au sud d’Eudoxus on trouve la formation ruinée du cratère d'Alexandre (82 Km) et le petit cratère Lamèch (13 Km, 1460 m) au sud-ouest. La muraille d'Eudoxus a une série de terrasses sur le mur   intérieur,  et   de  larges  remparts  à  l'extérieur.  A l’intérieur on observe une multitude de crêtes de faibles hauteurs au point médian.

Eudoxus is a prominent lunar impact crater that lies to the east of the northern tip of the Montes Caucasus range. It is located to the south of the prominent Aristoteles crater in the northern regions of the visible Moon. To the south is the ruined formation of Alexander crater, and the small Lamèch crater lies to the southwest.

The rim of Eudoxus has a series of terraces on the interior wall, and slightly worn ramparts about the exterior. It lacks a single central peak, but has a cluster of low hills about the mid-point of the floor. The remainder of the interior floor is relatively level.
