Antares and Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex

 

 

Rho Ophiuchi hodei konplexua dentsitate handiko gas eta hautsezko bi eremu zabalez osaturik dago. Lehenengo eremua izarrak sortzen diren hodeia (L1688) eta bi harizpiz (L1709 eta L1755) osaturik dago, bigarrena berriz izarrak sortzen ari diren eremua (L1689) eta harizpiz (L1712-L1729). Harizpi hauek 32 eta 55 argi-urte bitarteko luzera dute eta 0.8 argi-urte bezain mehe dira. Eguzki Sistematik gertuen dagoen izar-sorrera eremuetako bat da.

Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex consists of two major regions of dense gas and dust. The first contains a star-forming cloud (L1688) and two filaments (L1709 and L1755), while the second has a star-forming region (L1689) and a filament (L1712–L1729). These filaments extend up to 32 to 55 light years in length and can be as narrow as 0.8 light years in width. It is one of the closest star-forming regions to the Solar System.
