The XIth Hvar Astrophysical Colloquium about "The Most Mysterious Binaries: Significance for Astrophysics" took place at the Hvar Loggia:

This colloquium gathered together more than sixty specialists on the area. Many presentations were given on the actual knowledge of many interesting systems, and on the future work on it.

An entire session was dedicated to the last eps Aur eclipse. A round table on the subject was particularly hot, on the nature of the primary star. The discussion began with the question "If the star has an excited circum-stellar disk what is the possibility that it isn't a post-AGB F star?".

Due to my intense observational work during the last Fall and Winter, I was co-author of two presentations, one on eps Aur.

and one on the tetra system ksi Tau.

The social part of this colloquium was very good, with plenty of  convivial situations. Astronomers are also Gastronomes wherever they are!

At the Kanoba, wine and cheese.
