eps Aur Campaign

The eps Aur system is composed by a F star and a body that eclipses this star for two years, every 27.1 years. In the middle eclipse, a brightening takes place, whose cause isn't yet well established. For more info on this campaign, see

eps Aur International Campaign

Film of the changes in the H-alpha spectrum of the system during 752 days from little after the 1st contact until after 4th contact, based on my spectra.

 

The eclipse ended photometrically in October 2011. However, spectroscopically, variations were detected in the blue wing of the H-alpha spectrum through end of January 2012:
