Hvar Observatory

The observatory of Hvar is located in the Croatian island of Hvar in the Adriatic sea.

Its facilities are inserted in a fortress erected by Napoleon for the control of this part of the sea. The observatory has a magnificent view above the village of Hvar.

The observatory works day and night and has in its curricula an extended number of publications in solar and stellar work.

The solar observatory capture Photospheric and Chromospheric data.

The night observatories dedicate mainly to photometry. The left dome contains the T100 telescope and the right one the T65.
