Corona Borealis represents Ariadne's crown, given to her by Theseus, slayer of the Minotaur. Ariadne was the daughter of King Minos, who kept his half-bull son in the Labirynth.

Galaxy Cluster Abell 2065 constitutes Corona Borealis' most famous, though extremely difficult, deep sky target.
