IC59 and IC63 Reflection Nebulae in Cassiopeia

(IC59 = RA 0h 56.7m , Dec. +61°04', 10 x 5 arcmin.)


Reflection nebulae IC59 and IC63 flank g Cassiopeiae from North and NE, respectively (see finder chart below).

The above mosaic was taken on September 16, 2001 from Harrowsmith, Ontario with Cookbook 245 LDC CCD camera and Celestron Ultima 8 f3.0 telescope. It is composed of two tiles, each made of white exposures (8 x 60 sec. and 7 x 60 sec., respectively) processed with AIP4WIN. Mosaic was assembled with Corel PhotoPaint 8. Tiles were offset to avoid glare of g Cassiopeiae.

North is up.
