NGC2419 Globular Cluster in Lynx

Look almost 7° N of Castor (a Genimorum) to locate this remote globular cluster (see finder chart below).

The above image was taken on March 14, 1999 from Sooke, BC. Cookbook 245 LDC camera was used on Celestron Ultima 8 SCT with f6.3 focal reducer and was autoguided with Cookbook 211 LDC camera on a piggybacked 500mm f8 telephoto lens. This image is composed of white exposures (8 x 240 sec.) combined with AIP4WIN.

North is to the right.
