NGC4605 Galaxy in Ursa Major
(RA 12h 40.0m , Dec. +61° 37', 10.3 mag., 6.4 x 2.3 arcmin.)
This peculiar spiral galaxy is located 5°50' NNE of d Ursae Majoris (see finder chart below).
The above image was taken on February 23, 2001 from Harrowsmith, Ontario. Cookbook 245 LDC camera was used on Celestron Ultima 8 SCT f6.3 telescope autoguided with Cookbook 211 LDC camera on a piggybacked 500mm f8 telephoto lens. Five white exposures (240 sec. each) were combined using AIP4WIN.
North is to the right.
