NGC6207 Galaxy in Hercules


This small spiral is located just 27' NNE of M13 (see finder chart below). Even fainter galaxy IC4617 is visible halfway between the two.

The above image was taken on June 3, 2002 from Harrowsmith , Ontario using Cookbook 245 LDC CCD camera on Celestron Ultima 8 f3.0 telescope, autoguided with Cookbook 211 LDC camera on a piggybacked 500mm f8 telephoto lens. Seven white integrations (240 sec. each) were processed with AIP4WIN.

North is to the right.
