"Little Ghost" Planetary Nebula (NGC6369) in Ophiuchus
(RA 17h 29.3m , Dec. -23° 46', 11.4 mag., >30 arcsec.)
This faint annular planetary "puffs" against the background of the Pipe Nebula about 2° NE of q Ophiuchi (see finder chart below).
The above image was taken on June 25, 2001 from Harrowsmith, Ontario. Cookbook 245 LDC camera was used on Celestron Ultima 8 SCT with eyepiece projection (f20). White exposures (19 x 60 sec.) were combined using AIP4WIN.
Only part of the Cookbook 245 field of view is shown. North is to the right.
