NGC6802 Open Cluster in Vupecula
(RA 19h 30.6m , Dec. +20°16', 8.8 mag., 31' in diameter)
This is a rich cluster just East of Coathanger (see finder chart below).
The above image was taken on November 3, 2000 from Harrowsmith, Ontario. Dense fog eventually prevented me from obtaining color-filtered frames of this object! Cookbook 245 LDC camera was used on Celestron Ultima 8 SCT with f6.3 focal reducer. Twenty two white exposures (30 sec. each) were combined using AIP4WIN.
North is to the right.
Map created in Guide 7.0 - 7°45' x 10°. North is up.
