NGC6819 Open Cluster in Cygnus

(RA 19h 41.3m , Dec. +40°11', 7.3 mag., 9.5' in diameter)

This rich cluster stands out against the backdrop of Milky Way about 5° S of d Cygni (see finder chart below).

The above image was taken on November 3, 2000 from Harrowsmith, Ontario. Dense fog eventually prevented me from imaging more objects that night! Cookbook 245 LDC camera was used on Celestron Ultima 8 SCT with f6.3 focal reducer. White (17 x 30 sec.) exposures were combined with cyan, magenta and yellow-filtered images (5 x 30 sec., 4 x 30 sec. and 5 x 30 sec., respectively) using AIP4WIN software and the image was furter adjusted using Lab color space with Corel PhotoPaint 8.

North is to the right of the image.

Map created in Guide 7.0 - 7°45' x 7°45'. North is up.
