Egg Nebula (PK80-6.1) in Cygnus

(RA 21h 02.3m , Dec. +36°42', 13.5 mag., 16 arcsec.)


This faint proto-planetary nebula is located 4°20' NE of e Cygni (see finder chart below).

The above image was obtained on July 19, 2003 from Harrowsmith, Ontario with self-guiding Cookbook 245/211 CCD camera on a Celestron Ultima 8 f10 SCT. Eighteen white images (30 sec. each) were processed using AIP4WIN.

North is toward the upper left corner.
