BRIEF DESCRIPTION
This "continental" promontory separates Mare Tranquilitatis from
Mare Nectaris. The "continental" area is traversed by the rilles Rimae
Gutenberg. The edge of M. Nectaris is dominated by a prominent pair of
craters, Capella and Isidorus. The double, pear-shaped crater Torricelli
and the small crater Censorinus, which is one of the brightest objects
on the Moon, also contribute to the character of the region. Refer to your
copy of the Antonin Rukl lunar atlas chart, page 121.
