BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The area surrounding the prime meridian, south of the walled plains Ptolemaeus and Alphonsus, is a region of large craters. These two, together with Arzachel, form an impressive trio. On the western edge of the chart the "continental" structures give way to the darker Mare Nubium (Section 54). Refer to your copy of the Antonin Rukl lunar atlas chart, page 137.
