BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The dark surface of Mare Nectaris, the flooded walled plain Fracastorius and the beautiful crater Piccolomini are the most prominent formations in this part of the Moon. A low mountain range runs north of the crater Beaumont. Refer to your copy of the Antonin Rukl lunar atlas chart, page 143.
