LO4-108H2 |
| The crater Arzachel is a very prominent one, but usually overshadowed by the other mighty craters near it to the north: Ptolemaeus & Alphonsus. Arzachel is 97 km wide and 3610 meters deep. It has terraced walls, a mountain peak, and an interior crater. Formations E & F are valleys parallel to and within the elevated eastern and southeastern walls. Lunar Orbiter 4-108H2 is cropped to show Arzachel, but the original NASA link displays the complete trio, which includes Ptolemaeus and Alphonsus. |
