LO4-114H2 |
| The Lunascan image above left displays the south-eastern part of Mare Imbrium and the southwestern promontory of the Apennine Mountain range, terminated by the crater Eratosthenes. Eratosthenes (58 km wide and 3570 m deep) is a very prominent crater with large terraced walls and central peaks and lies on the borderline between Section 21 and 32. The LO4 image at top right is more detailed but less spectacular until viewed full scale. |
