| Le Monnier is a flooded crater with a very dark floor (not so evident in the image at left, which forms a small bay in Mare Serenitatis. It is 61 km wide and 2400 meters deep. Le Monnier straddles the borders of both Section 24 & 25. The Russian probe, Luna 21, landed in the southernmost portion of that crater. |
