Brief

Promontorium Agassiz is a lunar feature located at the extreme end of the Alpes Mountains in Section 12 of the NE quadrant . The feature shown above left is the same feature shown at lower portion of Lunar Orbiter. Note crater near the end of the chain and also the difference in lighting contrast.
