Brief

When viewing this portion of the Moon, when the terminator is near Section 65, several features are extremely interesting. But the images above were taken when the sun was higher. One of these is the huge walled plain and crater complex of Stofler with its flooded floor. Stofler is 126 km wide and 2760 meters deep. Legault's image at left and Lunar Orbiter 4's image at right appear very similar, and both enlargements show remarkable detail, especially in the LO shot.
