Scope configuration as shown, Meade 16" f/4.5 mounted
on DOB turret.

* STU (Scope Transport Unit) completed the previous weekend.
* Session used inline Recoton dubbing enhancer in an experiment to boost the signal from the main scanning camera. This procedure not repeated.
* First 1/3rd to 1/2 of the data tape flawed with bad images produced by poor F connectors on coax. Temporary fixes made final imaging passable, but later sessions required new connectors.

Report:
This was an early morning sesssion; the primary mission being the anticipated Tycho event predicted by ALPO’s David O. Darling. Although the crater was successfully imaged, no obvious LTPs were observed. There is the possibility that the false dawn was imaged but the resolution is lacking. What stole the show was the mighty crater Copernicus. Raw images were disappointing, but later enhancements with AVCD Image Enhancer produced astonishingly good images, considering the hazy atmospheric conditions.
