Mosaics from the Mariner 4 mission to Mars
Images were processed from the scanned data available here:
On the overlapping areas of adjacent frames color was computed, as the images were obtained using a Red/Green - Green/Red filter sequence.
It was also possible to match the visible features to a Mars map and reconstruct the full strip of Mars images, from limb to terminator.
