HX516 from Starlight Xpress is my new CCD camera. Based on the Sony ICX084AL interline CCD, with a sensitive area of 5.8x4.9 mm and 7.4x7.4 square pixels, it can be operated in several binning modes, depending on the software used to control it. In the binning 1x1 with a 7.4 micron square pixels it is an excellent planetary camera, or a high resolution deepsky camera for a focal length between 700mm and 1000mm. In the binning 2x2 mode it is an interesting deep sky for medium focal length telescopes. Small and portable as MX5 and MX916 are, HX516 is the Starlight Xpress 16 bits all purpose CCD camera.
