bravo avani ! magnifique animation !

Hi all, here's an album containing an animation of the GRS interactions with the retrograding rings between 14th and 20th April, plus full resolution versions of the individual animation frames. It has frames every 1-2 rotations of Jupiter between the 14th and 19th, plus Chris' latest image from the 20th (4 rotations after the penultimate frame). It's a shorter-term look than Marco's animation, but with as many frames as possible.

It shows the entrance of the two SEBs retrograding rings into the RSH, being disrupted and stretched, and peeling off flakes of red material from the GRS, rotating especially with the second retrograding ring (the flake is traceable through much of the animation, and was bright in methane images from Chris and myself). Two outbreaks grow on the NEB too.

Image credits: Foster, Go, Soares, myself. If other sharp images that fill gaps emerge, we can update the animation.

Happy Easter!

Andy
