Vous connaissez Kraken ? Je vous rassure, moi non plus jusqu'à avant-hier. Kraken, c'est le nom qui a été donné à une galaxie hypothétique qui aurait participé activement à la formation de notre Voie Lactée, avec de nombreuses autres, via des fusions successives. Elle a été mise en évidence par une équipe d'astrophysiciens qui arrive à reconstituer l'histoire de la formation de notre galaxie, son arbre généalogique en quelque sorte, grâce à ses amas globulaires. Une étude publiée dans les Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.
