Nebulae
Nebula can be Reflection, Emission, or both. Most Reflection nebulae are white or blue light, the spectra of which is the same as the stars whose light is being reflected. Most Emission nebulae emit in Hydrogen Alpha (red). Planetary nebulae are shells of expanding gas from a star that exploded, and are often circular in shape, and small compared to the large star forming nebulae.

Narrowband filters can be used to enhance specific wavelengths of light from nebula. Note - these filters can be detrimental on other targets which do not emit in the specifically filtered wavelengths.

On this page are various images from CLA of each type, to show the vastly different appearance between nebula types.
