Footprint Nebula (Minkowski 92) in Cygnus

(RA 19h 36.3m , Dec. +29°33', 11.0 mag., 12 x 6 arcsec.)

This tiny bipolar nebula is located 19' NEE of 9 Cygni (see finder chart below).

The above image was obtained on August 21, 2002 from Harrowsmith, Ontario with Cookbook 245 CCD camera on a Celestron Ultima 8 f10 SCT. Seventeen white images (15 sec. each) were processed using AIP4WIN. The nebula resembles close double star to the left of the bright star at the center.

North is up.
