NGC609 in Cassiopeia
(RA 1h 37.2m , Dec. +64°33', 11 mag., 3 arcmin.)
NGC609 lies on the N end of the arc of open clusters between e and d Cassiopeiae. It is located about 2°NWW of e Cassiopeiae (see finder chart below).
The above image was taken on July 14, 2002 from Harrowsmith, Ontario. Cookbook 245 LDC CCD camera was used on a Celestron Ultima 8 f6.3 SCT autoguided with Cookbook 211 on a 500mm f8 guidescope. Ten white images (240 sec. each) were combined using AIP4WIN.
North is to the right.
