NGC6910 Open Cluster in Cygnus

(RA 20h 23.1m , Dec. +40°47', 7.4 mag., 7' in diameter)


This smal cluster can be spotted about 30' NNE of g Cygni (see finder chart below).

The above image was taken on October 8, 2001 from Harrowsmith, Ontario. Cookbook 245 LDC camera was used on Celestron Ultima 8 SCT with f6.3 focal reducer and the telescope was autoguided with Cookbook 211 LDC CCD camera on a piggybacked 500mm f8 telephoto lens. Thenty white exposures (30 sec. each) were combined with cyan, magenta and yellow-filtered images (5 x 30 sec. each) using AIP4WIN software and the image was furter adjusted in Lab color space with Corel PhotoPaint 8.

North is to the left.
